The flag of the City of London is a white cloth and rectangular shape with a red cross . In the upper corner which is situated next to the mast it depicted a sword red placed vertically .
This flag is made up of some of the same elements of the shield of the city : the background of white with red cross , known as the Cross of St. George, which is the flag of England and the sword that symbolizes Saint Paul. It is documented that in 1381 the George Cross and the Sword of St. Paul and were used as symbols of the City of Londres.1
The shield of the City of London is a cross of gules (red ) on silver field in the first quarter a sword placed on stick ( vertically). Two brackets hold the shield -shaped silver dragon charged with a cross gules . Torse rings and a helmet with swags of silver and gules surmounted by a crest -shaped silver dragon wing charged with a cross gules . Often they appear only represented the torse and crest
